Crimson Desert DLC confirmed as Pearl Abyss plans story fixes and character improvements this summer

Pearl Abyss has dropped its June–September 2026 roadmap for Crimson Desert, and it covers a lot of ground: story improvements, fixes to Damiane and Oongka's gameplay, a blockade system overhaul, and a confirmed DLC. The game already takes around 250 hours to complete, and it's only getting bigger.\n\nThe DLC announcement is light on specifics — Pearl Abyss says only that it's \"preparing it as a meaningful addition to your journey\" and will share details later. On the story side, the studio acknowledges the feedback it's received and says it's working to \"strengthen the narrative flow of Kliff's journey\" by refining the coherence of key scenes, with the hope that even players who've already finished Pywel will find something new. Damiane and Oongka are getting attention too — right now they're locked out of most quests and upgrading them costs skill points that would otherwise go to Kliff, which has frustrated players since launch. Pearl Abyss promises \"various adjustments\" so all three playable characters get a proper share of the spotlight. The blockade system is also being reworked with a new phase to make the flow around blockades feel more natural, stronghold liberation rewards are getting bumped up, and there are vaguer promises around combat-focused content, cross-save support, and quality-of-life improvements to non-combat content.\n\nCrimson Desert launched as a massive open-world action RPG but drew consistent criticism for a story that felt stitched together and for sidelining its two non-Kliff characters mechanically. This roadmap is a direct response to those complaints.\n\nNone of these updates have firm release dates yet and are all subject to change, but Pearl Abyss expects them to roll out over the coming months.
