Behemutt, a Brazilian indie studio, showed off Fourleaf Fields during the Wholesome Direct as part of the Summer Game Fest 2026 lineup. No release date yet, but it's up on Steam to wishlist now.
The core hook is scale: your farmer is Polly Pocket-sized, and the crops are enormous. That size difference shapes everything — you don't pull up giant carrots, you slice them into normal-sized veggies. Instead of a watering can, you shoot oversized dew drops at your plants. Livestock follows the same logic — forget chickens and cows, you're raising moths, butterflies, and bees. The game also supports multiplayer. The standout feature, though, is a town gossip system where you collect stories from around town to uncover your neighbors' secrets through what Behemutt calls a "tech tree fueled by hearsay." The trailer doesn't go deep on exactly how it works, but the concept is immediately compelling.
Beyond the gossip angle, Fourleaf Fields covers the usual farming sim bases — building relationships with villagers, upgrading town structures, and tending your livestock. Visually it leans into cute sprites and a Honey, I Shrunk the Kids aesthetic that should make roping in cozy-game friends pretty easy.
