Final Fantasy XIV's Rising event returns August 27 for the game's 13th anniversary

Final Fantasy XIV marks its 13th anniversary with the return of the Rising, running from August 27 through September 10, 2026.

The event kicks off on Thursday, August 27 at 12:00 a.m. PDT and runs until September 10 at 7:59 a.m. PDT. To join in, head to Limsa Lominsa's Upper Deck and talk to the wandering minstrel at coordinates X:11.0 Y:12.8 to pick up the quest The Symphony of Life — you'll need to be at least level 15. Rewards are up for grabs, and past Rising items are also available through the Rising vendor for anyone who missed previous years.

The Rising is FFXIV's annual in-game celebration of the game's relaunch — A Realm Reborn launched in August 2013 after the original 1.0 version was famously shut down and rebuilt from the ground up. The event has become a tradition where the game reflects on its journey and Square Enix often uses it to deliver heartfelt messages to the community.
