Sega dropped a short teaser during its Club Chaos livestream this week, hinting that the Fortnite and Sonic the Hedgehog crossover isn't done yet — the clip ends with "to be continued", and a pair of glowing red eyes flash on screen at the 11-second mark.
The red eyes are a clear nod to Metal Sonic, Sonic's robotic doppelgänger and one of the franchise's most iconic villains. No release date, pricing, or gameplay details have been shared beyond the teaser itself.
The collab fits neatly into Sonic's ongoing 35th anniversary celebrations, which Sega has been rolling out across multiple platforms and media. Fortnite has previously featured Sonic skins and cosmetics, so expanding that partnership with a Metal Sonic addition would be a natural next step.
Details are thin for now — when Sega or Epic say more, expect a full reveal to follow quickly.
