Love Nikki fan shuts down major resource site over 'demonic' clothing designs

A longtime Love Nikki – Dress Up Queen fan has taken down Nikki's Info, one of the game's most comprehensive community resource sites, citing religious objections to the game's clothing designs. The admin announced the closure in a now-viral blog post after a week of unexplained silence on the site, which has been wiped clean of all content.

In the post, the admin described a turbulent personal period involving what they called occult practices, a near-death incident involving police and paramedics, and an eventual religious conversion. They stopped short of blaming Love Nikki directly for those events, but said the game's aesthetic crossed a line they could no longer ignore. Specifically, they called out the game's heavy use of crosses as dress-up items — describing them as "irreverent to God" — and flagged certain designs as mixing gothic and "demonic" themes. "I can't profit from or promote something which offends my God, my Saviour," they wrote, adding that the site's source code, data, and domain are not for sale. Patreon subscribers are being offered refunds.

The reaction across the Nikki community has been a mix of concern, curiosity, and some bemusement — particularly given that the Nikki franchise has a long history of drawing directly from Catholic and Christian iconography, not as subversion but as straightforward design inspiration. Love Nikki includes a full Pope-inspired outfit set, and the official Infinity Nikki account recently shared a design breakdown of its Behind Prayers outfit, noting that the Starlight Crown headdress incorporated "imagery of the Virgin Mary." The franchise, developed by Infold Games, spans multiple titles and has built a dedicated global fanbase around its elaborate fashion systems and lore.

The post has spread well beyond Love Nikki circles into the broader Infinity Nikki community, where players are speculating about which specific items triggered the admin's concerns. Most commenters appear sympathetic to the admin's wellbeing while finding the situation genuinely puzzling. Nikki's Info had been active since at least 2018 and was a go-to reference for outfit data, story guides, and update tracking — its loss leaves a real gap in the community's resources.
