S-GAME has confirmed Phantom Blade Zero is coming late October, putting it in direct release window competition with GTA 6. The studio's response to that overlap? Essentially a shrug.
The developer has publicly stated it isn't concerned about launching near GTA 6. An exact date hasn't been announced — late October is all that's been confirmed so far.
Phantom Blade Zero has been one of the more eye-catching action RPGs shown at Sony presentations, known for its fast combat and sharp visual style. GTA 6 is also targeting fall, meaning both titles will be competing for the same player attention and wallets at roughly the same time.
The studio's confidence is notable — most smaller developers quietly avoid Rockstar's shadow. Whether that boldness pays off depends on how close the final dates end up being.
