Pokémon Winds and Waves leak hints at a baby legendary you raise from the start

A new leak from Pokémon insider Centro Leaks claims to share actual dialogue text files from the opening of Pokémon Winds and Waves, the upcoming 10th-generation RPGs. The text paints a picture of a tropical region made up of 100 islands with large stretches of untouched wilderness, and says players begin their adventure at the center of the world.

The most intriguing detail is a mechanic called Majinization. According to the leaked dialogue, players are invited on a Majinize Tour to experience things no one has encountered before, and they must collect a Majin Band before challenging the region's first gym. Tied directly to this mechanic is a legendary Pokémon named Konetsu — its name and internal codename both suggest a connection to heat. Centro Leaks says players meet Konetsu right at the start of the game, and that the creature is somehow central to how Majinization works.

The leaked text also includes a moment where someone asks about the legendary and the response is simply Poyaa! — which fans are reading as the creature itself answering. In Japanese, poyo is onomatopoeia for something cute and round, which has sparked speculation that Konetsu appears in a baby or infant form at the very beginning of the adventure. That idea lines up with earlier Winds and Waves rumors about Seed Pokémon — monsters that evolve differently depending on how the trainer raises them. A legendary that grows alongside the player would be a significant departure from the series norm, where legendaries are typically encountered fully formed late in the story or post-game. Keeping that mechanic exclusive to the legendary would also let the new starters follow their usual fixed evolution lines without complication.

None of this is confirmed, and leaks from even reliable insiders can reflect early builds that change before launch. Still, Centro Leaks has been a consistent source for Winds and Waves details over recent months, and the internal consistency between this leak and earlier rumors about Seed Pokémon gives the speculation some weight. Fans are watching closely for any official reveal from The Pokémon Company.
