Titan Comics is launching a Vampire Survivors comic series this fall, with the first of four issues hitting shelves on September 9, 2026. A collected graphic novel edition follows in March 2027.
The series is written by David Hazan, known for Nottingham, and illustrated by Jimmy Kucaj, who worked on Dread The Halls. The story follows familiar survivors as they push through cursed locations — an endless library, a corrupted dairy plant, and a mad forest — uncovering secrets that were never meant to surface. The backdrop is the same as the game: the evil Bisconte Draculó has unleashed monster hordes across the Italian countryside, and the Belpaese family and other survivors are the only ones standing between him and total chaos. Hazan says he spent considerable time researching things for his characters to say in Italian, while Kucaj described the project as a childhood dream — he grew up playing retro games and imagining what those CRT pixels would look like in full detail.
Vampire Survivors launched in 2021 and became a genre-defining hit, winning Best Game and Best Game Design at the 2023 BAFTAs, then Best Evolving Game in 2025. The game has always had lore simmering underneath its addictive gameplay loop, but the comic gives that world room to breathe and expand in ways the roguelike format never really allowed.
Preorders are open now at local comic shops. Developer poncle has also already teased a sequel to the game, so the Vampire Survivors universe is expanding on multiple fronts at once.
