Xbox Game Pass October lineup includes Battlefield 6, Valor Mortis, and Forever Ago

Xbox Game Pass is getting a packed wave of new games across October, headlined by Battlefield 6 arriving on October 13 alongside several day-one additions. The lineup spans shooters, soulslike action, roguelikes, and a family-friendly photo adventure.

Battlefield 6 lands on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 13 — EA Play members also get the EA Play Deployment Pack, the Season 5 EA Play Pack, and recurring seasonal rewards, while Game Pass Ultimate subscribers get EA Play included plus 10% off eligible EA digital purchases. Also hitting on October 13 are Valor Mortis, a first-person soulslike from the Ghostrunner studio where you play a resurrected Napoleonic soldier wielding supernatural powers, and Deep Dish Dungeon, a hand-crafted survival dungeon crawler with metroidvania and crafting elements playable solo or in online co-op. October 8 brings three day-one additions: Echo Weaver, a knowledge-based metroidvania built around mastering a time loop; Forever Ago, a single-player road trip adventure following a character named Alfred on a journey north for redemption; and Neon Abyss 2, a pixelated cyberpunk roguelike action platformer set in a world ruled by ancient and modern gods. Rounding out the wave on October 15 are Bluey's Happy Snaps, a photo-powered co-op adventure set in the Bluey universe, and Chained Beasts, a one-to-four player co-op gladiator roguelike.

Valor Mortis is one of the more notable day-one additions here — developer One More Level built its reputation on Ghostrunner's razor-sharp first-person movement, and a soulslike set in a supernatural Napoleonic world is a sharp pivot that will draw attention. Neon Abyss 2 follows the original's cult following in the roguelike space, and Battlefield 6 joining Game Pass on day thirteen of the month keeps EA's flagship shooter in front of a massive subscriber base heading into its seasonal content cycle.

The announcement also references Gears of War: E-Day and Minecraft Dungeons II as already live on the service, suggesting Game Pass has had a strong recent run of big releases. With Battlefield 6, Valor Mortis, and several day-one indie titles all landing within a week of each other, mid-October looks like one of the denser Game Pass windows in recent memory.
