Aerial Knight's MrFreezy is a lighthearted puzzle game about collecting severed heads

Aerial Knight has announced MrFreezy, a puzzle game starring a female serial killer who decapitates men and arranges their heads for maximum efficiency. It launches on Steam on September 1st.

The goal is to position your victims' heads so they can be cleared in the fewest possible swings. Different head types add wrinkles to that formula, and score multipliers give you something to chase beyond just clearing the board. Aerial Knight describes it as a "light-hearted puzzle game" — which, given the premise, is doing some heavy lifting. The Kotaku write-up compares the loop to Balatro: instead of stacking jokers to build a score, you're stacking heads.

Aerial Knight — developer Neil Jones — has built a small but distinct catalog of games under his own name. Aerial Knight's We Never Yield was a stylish endless runner, and Aerial Knight's DropShot was a top-down shooter, both leaning into a sharp visual identity and Black indie dev representation. MrFreezy looks like another left-turn in terms of genre while keeping that same distinct personality.

No pricing has been announced yet, but the Steam page is already live. If the Balatro comparison holds up in practice, this one could find a surprisingly broad audience despite — or maybe because of — its absurd premise.
