Lenovo Legion Go S Drops to $549 on Amazon Prime Day

Amazon's Prime Day sale has the Lenovo Legion Go S – the Windows handheld powered by AMD's Ryzen Z2 Go chip – down to $549.99, its lowest price on Amazon yet. The deal knocks roughly $150 off the regular price and is exclusive to Prime members.

The Legion Go S runs on the Z2 Go chipset, a Zen 3-based processor with 4 cores and 8 threads paired with an RDNA 2 GPU carrying 12 graphics cores. It ships with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. The 8-inch IPS display runs at 1200p and 120Hz, hits up to 500 nits, covers 100% sRGB, and supports VRR. The TrueStrike controllers add anti-slip texture and ergonomic button placement.

IGN's Jackie Thomas found the Z2 Go's performance a little underwhelming in testing, but the device holds its own against the original Legion Go and beats the Steam Deck in a number of titles. It handles AAA games at medium settings without much trouble, and really earns its keep in lighter games where the display quality and high frame rates make a noticeable difference. With the Steam Deck recently getting a price hike, the Legion Go S becomes a more compelling alternative at this reduced price.
