Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Royal Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch 2

Warhorse Studios' medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is heading to Nintendo Switch 2 as a Royal Edition, announced during Nintendo's September Direct. No firm release date has been set yet, but preorders are already live — Amazon has it listed at $59.99.

The Royal Edition bundles the base game with a solid stack of extras: the Lion's Crest Quest, Gallant Huntsman's Kit, Shields of Seasons Passing, and three story expansion packs — Brushes with Death, Legacy of the Forge, and Mysteria Ecclesiae. One thing worth flagging: this Switch 2 version ships as a Game-key card, meaning the cartridge itself doesn't contain the game data. You insert it to authenticate and download, but unlike a purely digital purchase, you can resell the card.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 launched in early 2025 as the follow-up to Warhorse's 2018 cult hit. It's a grounded, historically-set action RPG set in medieval Bohemia, leaning hard into realistic melee combat and a densely written story. IGN reviewer Len Hafer gave it a 9/10, calling it "one part sequel and one part coronation" that brings the original's ideas to fruition — and it landed on several best-of-2025 lists, including as a strong RPG of the year contender.
