Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 hits 6 million sales as Warhorse teases two new RPGs

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has sold 6 million copies worldwide, Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver announced as the game entered the Steam Summer Sale with a 60% discount. The milestone lands roughly a year and a half after the game's February 2025 launch.

For context, the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance took six years to reach the same number. KCD2 is sitting on a Very Positive rating on Steam with over 137,000 reviews, 93% of them positive. Deep Silver credited the community directly: "None of this would have been possible without the passion and support of the ever-growing Kingdom Come: Deliverance community. From day one, players have ridden alongside Henry on this journey." Warhorse also used the moment to remind fans that two new open-world RPGs are in the pipeline — a new Kingdom Come title and a Middle-earth RPG, both announced last month.

Warhorse is clearly riding serious momentum. PC Gamer named KCD2 its 2025 game of the year, and the studio has already signaled it won't be making fans wait another seven years for a follow-up. Communications director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling confirmed during a community stream that the next Kingdom Come is targeting the next fiscal year: "If everything goes right, it comes next fiscal year — which means you don't have to wait seven years for another Kingdom Come. That is good!"

The summer celebrations aren't just digital — Deep Silver says Warhorse plans events, concerts, and community gatherings throughout the season. With two new projects announced and a sequel potentially arriving sooner than anyone expected, the studio is in an unusually strong position for an RPG developer that was still a relative underdog when the first game launched back in 2018.
