The unnamed leaker, described by Jakeu as "highly trusted", says the new model will skip the next-gen Hero 3 sensor — sticking with Hero 2 — but will bring an upgraded main controller and further tweaks to HITS, Logitech's haptic induction trigger system. The announcement is reportedly tied to Logitech G Play, Logitech's own showcase event scheduled for September. That's the full extent of what the leak offers.

The original G Pro X2 Superstrike was a genuinely novel piece of hardware — it uses a combination of haptics and electromagnetic induction to deliver analogue click inputs, meaning the mouse can register varying degrees of press depth rather than a simple on/off click.
