Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls open beta runs July 24–26 on PS5 and PC

Arc System Works is opening Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls to everyone next week. The open beta runs for 72 hours starting July 24 at 12:00 a.m. PT and closes July 26 at 11:59 p.m. PT, with pre-downloads available two hours before servers go live. No registration or PlayStation Plus subscription required — just download from the PS5 store, Steam, or the Epic Games Store and jump in.

The beta includes 15 of the game's 20 launch characters: Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Storm, Magik, Wolverine, Danger, Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Peni Parker, Ghost Rider, Blade, Doctor Doom, and Magneto. Blade is making his first playable appearance here, having sat out the earlier closed betas. Six stages are available — Marvel's New York in day and night versions, Savage Land, X-Mansion, Knowhere, and Wakanda. Modes on offer include online Casual and Ranked matches, a local Versus mode, Training mode with full combo practice tools, an explorable open lobby with 16 customizable avatars, and the first three episodes of the Amazing Guardians story campaign following Spider-Man assembling his team.

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a 4v4 team fighter developed by Arc System Works — the studio behind Guilty Gear Strive and Dragon Ball FighterZ — so it carries serious fighting game pedigree. The game had closed betas last year, meaning a portion of the community already has hands-on time, but this open beta is the first chance for anyone to try it without signing up in advance.

The full game launches August 6 on PS5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. With the beta window covering an entire weekend, players have a solid stretch of time to get a feel for the roster and team mechanics before launch day.
