Phantom Vice Auto is launching on Steam the same day as GTA 6 on console

GTA 6 hits PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026, but PC players are still waiting with no release date in sight. Fortunately — and we use that word loosely — a game called Phantom Vice Auto is also launching on Steam on November 19, so PC gamers have that going for them.

Developed by Brgames İnteractive, Phantom Vice Auto is a self-described "entertainment blockbuster" and an open-world action game that, based on its trailer and five Steam screenshots, features a man walking, a man driving, a man shooting other men, and up to one outfit. The trailer appears to render at roughly 720p even at 4K playback. The Steam page highlights a pedestrian system — illustrated by two confirmed pedestrians and one distant probable pedestrian — as well as a radial weapon menu that bears absolutely no resemblance to anything Rockstar has ever made. The game also has a prison watchtower, four cars in four colors (buggy, SUV, sedan, sports car), and the word "Wasted" displayed on death, a creative choice whose origins remain mysterious. One screenshot appears to be a breakdown of asset-store character model bone structures, which is a bold thing to lead with.

Rockstar, meanwhile, dropped 63 new GTA 6 screenshots last week and has been building toward what is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated console launches in years. GTA 6 is set in a fictional Miami-inspired state and marks the series' first new entry since GTA 5 launched back in 2013 — a thirteen-year gap that has made the PC community's wait for a port feel especially pointed. No PC release window has been announced.

Phantom Vice Auto launches November 19 on Steam. GTA 6 launches the same day on consoles. PC players will have to decide which of these two open-world experiences better fills the void.
