Pokémon TCG Pitch Black Booster Bundle preorders back on Amazon at under market price

Amazon has restocked Pokémon TCG Pitch Black Booster Bundles at $57.92, undercutting the current resale market price of around $70 on TCGplayer and eBay by more than $10. The set releases July 17.

Each Booster Bundle contains six Pitch Black packs, putting the per-pack cost at roughly $9.65. That's still a steep 93% markup over the original $30 MSRP — nearly double — but that's the reality of the Pokémon TCG market right now. Crucially, this listing is sold and shipped directly by Amazon, not a third-party seller. Amazon's preorder price guarantee means you won't be charged more than today's price, any further discounts get applied retroactively, and your card won't actually be charged until the order ships.

Pitch Black is the next English Mega Evolution expansion, coming in at 115-plus cards — a much tighter set than the 295-card Ascended Heroes. Four of the six Mega Evolution Pokémon are confirmed: Mega Darkrai ex, Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex, and Mega Excadrill ex. The set also includes four Pokémon ex, 11 Illustration Rares, 18 Ultra Rares, six Special Illustration Rares, and over 35 cards with special artwork. The expected chase card is Mega Darkrai ex, pulled from the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC. Its Abyss Eye attack — known from the Japanese equivalent set of the same name — instantly knocks out any Active Pokémon already affected by a Special Condition, regardless of remaining HP. That's a direct counter to high-HP tank strategies and could shake up the competitive meta.
