Pokemon TCG Pocket's Everyday Wonders expansion launches June 29

The Pokemon Company announced Everyday Wonders, the next expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket. The set drops June 29 at 9 p.m. EDT and leans hard into cute, cozy aesthetics — think full-art illustrations of fan favorites like Pikachu and Piplup.

The trailer previewed several notable cards. Sylveon gets a non-ex version with an ability that heals 30 HP per turn from any of your Pokemon, provided it has a Tool attached — a passive that could see real competitive use. Small Balloon is a new Tool that cuts a basic Pokemon's retreat cost by one, which is quietly strong given how many powerful basics are in the current meta. Hisuian Zoroark ex looks like the set's most interesting competitive piece: its Spiteful Illusion attack costs three colorless energy and hits for 80 damage plus 20 for each Pokemon in your discard pile. Stack two knocked-out Stage 2s and you're looking at 200 damage, and pairing it with Magnezone — a long-standing meta staple — could make that a realistic gameplan. Mega Diancie ex rounds out the highlights as a 170 HP basic whose Brilliant Storm attack deals 40 damage plus 20 for every Psychic energy attached across all your Pokemon, making it a natural fit alongside Mega Gardevoir ex and regular Gardevoir. On the fluffier side, a Puppy Pile synergy package brings together Growlithe, Yamper, Fidough, and Rockruff, supported by the Puppy-Loving Girl trainer card — probably not a tournament deck, but undeniably charming.

Everyday Wonders arrives just a week after The Pokemon Company announced a Mega Rayquaza-themed expansion slated for July, which will be the game's 20th set. The back-to-back announcements suggest DeNA has no intention of slowing down the release cadence for Pokemon TCG Pocket.

With a launch date already confirmed and competitive cards worth watching, Everyday Wonders should give both casual collectors and ladder players something to dig into when it goes live Sunday night.
