PUBG Global Series Circuit 3 heads to Shanghai with $500K on the line

The PUBG Global Series is leaving Seoul behind — Circuit 3 runs in Shanghai, China from August 5 to 23, packing three separate series (PGS 7, PGS 8, and PGS 9) into three consecutive weeks. Twenty-four teams compete across the circuit, split between 12 Global Partner Teams and 12 Regional Qualifiers.

The total prize pool across Circuit 3 is $500,000: PGS 7 and PGS 8 each carry $100,000, while PGS 9 closes the circuit with a $300,000 pot. Most matches kick off at 10:00 UTC daily, with one exception — the PGS 7 Group Stage on August 5 starts early at 05:00 UTC (07:00 CEST). The format is a progressive stage system: in PGS 7, all 24 teams enter a Group Stage split into Groups A, B, and C, playing nine matches total with each team getting six. The top 16 advance to the Winners Stage, the bottom 8 drop to Survival. From the Winners Stage, the top 8 go straight to the Final Stage with Advantage Points banked, while the bottom 8 join the 8 survivors from the Survival Stage to fight for the remaining Final Stage spots. PGS 8 skips the Group Stage entirely — teams enter directly at Winners or Survival based on their PGS 7 results. PGS 9 then serves as the circuit closer, with a Survival Stage on August 20 feeding into a three-day Grand Finals from August 21–23.

Circuit 3 also marks the start of the second half of the 2026 PGS season, and the stakes jump significantly from here. Every series in Circuits 3 and 4 awards double the PGS Points compared to the first half — meaning the race to PGC 2026 qualification gets a lot more intense over the next few weeks. The PGS has been one of PUBG's flagship competitive structures, with the Global Championship at the end of the season serving as the year's biggest prize.

With Shanghai hosting and the points multiplier now active, Circuit 3 is effectively where the 2026 PGC picture starts to take real shape. Teams that struggled in the first half have a genuine chance to claw back ground, and those already near the top will be pushing to lock up qualification early.
