Wallhack's first gaming mouse teased with hot-swappable battery and top-end specs

Wallhack — the peripheral brand formerly known as SkyPad — is teasing its first ever gaming mouse, with a full reveal locked in for July 24. The mouse is internally designated M-001, and a short teaser video strongly suggests it will feature a hot-swappable battery system.

Peripheral reviewer mel0nFPS, who analysed an earlier image-only teaser, predicted a hot-swap battery rated at 250–300 mAh. If their PCB-based predictions also hold, the mouse could ship with a PAW3955 sensor and optical switches — firmly top-end territory. The wireless dongle is also visible in silhouette form, and it's a larger puck-style receiver with a DPI/polling rate scroll wheel, a status button, and at least one other unidentified control element. The underside of the mouse appears partially hollowed out, suggesting a lightweight build, though the exact weight hasn't been confirmed.

Hot-swappable batteries are a small but growing trend in the wireless gaming mouse space. The Glorious Model O3 brought the idea to wider attention, and the AM Infinity Mouse — which pairs the feature with a PAW3950 sensor and a 49 g frame — has since pushed it further. Rumours also point to the Steelseries Rival Pro Mini joining that list. The appeal is straightforward: you're not likely to drain a mouse battery mid-session very often, but when you do — say, halfway through a planned competitive session — having a spare you can swap in instantly beats either plugging in a cable or waiting out a charge. For a brand like Wallhack, whose glass pads and accessories are already aimed squarely at competitive players, a mouse built around that kind of reliability makes sense.

Price is the big unknown, and expectations probably shouldn't be modest — the author of the original piece figures anything under $140 would be a surprise, given Wallhack's premium positioning and competition from mice like the Superstrike and Viper V4 Pro. Everything else, including final specs and that price tag, lands on July 24.
