32 Classic Jaleco Arcade Games Heading to PS5 in Two Compilation Volumes

Publisher Gravity Game Arise is bringing 32 Jaleco arcade games from the 80s and 90s to PS5 this winter, split across Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol. 1 and Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol. 2. Full rosters for both volumes haven't been confirmed yet, but partial game lists are already out.

Vol. 1 includes ten confirmed titles: Aeroboto, The Astyanax, City Connection, Cybattler, Field Combat, Naughty Boy, P-47 The Freedom Fighter, Pig's & Bomber's, Saint Dragon, and Shingen Samurai-Fighter. Vol. 2 so far lists Argus, Avenging Spirit, Earth Defense Force, and Exerion, with more entries still to be announced to reach the full 32-game count across both compilations.

Jaleco was a prolific Japanese arcade and console developer active from the late 1970s through the 1990s, responsible for a wide range of genres — shooters, action platformers, and strategy hybrids. Many of these titles never made it to Western home consoles in any form, so a curated PS5 release is a rare chance for players to legally access games that have largely lived in emulation circles. Gravity Game Arise has been active in preserving older Japanese arcade and console libraries, having previously published similar retro compilations.

Pricing and exact release dates for both volumes haven't been announced. With the full game lists still incomplete, more reveals are expected before the winter launch window.
