A year-old Warcraft leak is looking a lot more credible after a Camelot datamine

A Warcraft franchise roadmap leaked on Reddit back in August 2025 was largely ignored at the time, but a recent datamine has brought it roaring back into the conversation. Wowhead found evidence of Heroic and Epic editions of something called World of Warcraft Camelot sitting on Blizzard's internal servers — and Camelot is listed right there in the leaked document, with a release window at the end of this year.

The original leak, posted by Reddit user 5thyatch and highlighted by Warcraft content creator Bellular, showed an alleged internal Blizzard timeline of releases stretching to 2030. Beyond Camelot, it lists the WoW expansion Midnight — whose release window the leak reportedly predicted correctly before any official announcement — and places the following expansion, The Last Titan, toward the end of 2027. Further out, it shows a new RTS titled Warcraft Chronicles slated for late 2028, which would be the first Warcraft RTS since Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne in 2003. Then in late 2029, an untitled Arthas ARPG appears — though whether that means a top-down Diablo-style game or a character-action RPG built around the Lich King isn't clear from the document. The leak also mentions two tie-in TV shows, one animated and one live-action, connected to those unannounced games.

Blizzard's own public statements have quietly started to align with the leak's broader ambitions. In February, WoW vice president and executive producer Holly Longdale said the Warcraft IP is "underutilized" and that Blizzard has "a bigger vision" for the franchise "than simply being an MMORPG." That same month, Blizzard president Johanna Faries mentioned "exciting conversations" happening around Hollywood adaptations of Blizzard IP. Blizzard has also teased a major Classic-related announcement for BlizzCon 2026, which lines up with Camelot's rumored reveal window. Many fans believe Camelot is the long-discussed Classic+ project — new content added to the original Vanilla WoW without pushing into the game's expansion timeline.

There are real caveats here. The original Reddit post and account have been deleted, though fans recovered the leak via the Wayback Machine after the Camelot datamine surfaced. Even if the document is genuine, it may not reflect Blizzard's current plans — projects get cancelled, timelines shift, and an internal roadmap from an unknown date is not a release schedule. Still, between the Camelot datamine, the accurate Midnight prediction, and Blizzard leadership openly talking about expanding the franchise beyond WoW, the leak is harder to dismiss than it was a year ago.
