Activision films a cease-and-desist delivery to a Call of Duty cheat seller's front door

Activision sent a legal representative to the Ohio home of cheat seller Elocarry, filmed the whole thing, and posted the clip to the official Call of Duty account on Friday. The visit itself happened on 22nd August, during the first Modern Warfare 4 closed beta weekend.

The roughly one-minute video shows the rep pulling up outside the house, meeting a blurred-face man, and handing over paperwork. "I just got some paperwork for you — attorneys for Activision — it's a cease-and-desist order for you," the rep says, before telling him to contact the listed attorneys and walking away. Elocarry had been selling cheat packs for Black Ops 7 and Warzone — advertised as safe from RICOCHET detection — with three-month subscriptions priced up to £79.99. The cheats also covered Rust and Apex Legends. After the visit, a screenshot from Elocarry's Discord showed Call of Duty product sales "temporarily paused" while a "matter" is reviewed internally, though the rest of the storefront reportedly stayed live.

Activision framed the Ohio doorstep visit as one piece of a much larger anti-cheat enforcement push. The company says it has now served more than 80 cease-and-desist demands, targeted over 375 reseller operations, and shut down more than 30 vendors entirely. The thread closed with a blunt warning: "build cheats, sell cheats, we will find you." Activision also used the moment to tout RICOCHET improvements during the beta, saying infection rates were lower, hardware bans were harder to evade, and response times improved — though no specific numbers were given.

The second Modern Warfare 4 beta weekend is currently live and open to everyone, featuring multiplayer, a campaign mission, and a Warzone drop. The full game launches 23rd October on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2.
