Asus ROG has announced the Mystery Box Edition 20 – blind-box keycap sets tied to the company's 20th anniversary lineup. Each box contains six random keycaps, and you have no idea what you're getting until you open it.
The keycaps themselves are miniature versions of ROG peripherals, each sitting on a tiny bed of stalagmite crystals. The lineup includes a Gladius mouse, a Raikiri controller, an Asus Delta headset, and a couple of ROG logo variants. The standout pieces are the Chariot chair – which actually spins when you press it – and the Claymore keyboard, split into two pressable halves: main keys on the left, numpad on the right.
This is part of Asus's broader 20th anniversary range, which already includes an enormous anniversary GPU. The company has been busy at Computex with more serious hardware too, including an esports OLED monitor that's drawn genuine interest.
How worthwhile these boxes are will come down to rarity. If the more interesting keycaps are genuinely rare pulls, collectors could end up buying a lot of boxes just to complete the set.
