Blade, Loki, and Deadpool join MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls as the Samurai Outriders

At EVO 2026 on June 28, the final team for MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls was revealed — the Samurai Outriders, made up of Ghost Rider, Blade, Loki, and Deadpool. Producer Takeshi Yamanaka confirmed the lineup alongside a new stage: Asgard.

Blade is voiced by Imari Williams, Loki by Jason Spisak, and Deadpool by Nolan North — with Ghost Rider (Giancarlo Sabogal) having been announced earlier. Blade, real name Eric Brooks, is a human-vampire hybrid who trained in Japan and now wields the demon-slaying sword Muramasa. His Heartstopper ability throws a stake to pin opponents in place, letting him close the gap instantly; when it connects, Muramasa glows red and powers up his sword skills. Loki fights as the God of Mischief — illusions, feints, counters, ice and magic projectiles, and deliberately erratic movement designed to frustrate opponents. Deadpool's specifics were cut off in the source, but Nolan North — who has voiced the character in multiple Marvel games — returns for the role. The new Asgard stage spans five areas: the Observatory, Bifrost Bridge, Throne Room, Treasure Vault, and Yggdrasil, the World Tree.

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a tag-team fighter developed with a strong Japanese aesthetic — the name itself blends Marvel with the Japanese word for fighting spirit. The Samurai Outriders are framed as dark, morally complicated heroes who don't gel as a team from the start; their dynamic and individual growth is a thread running through the game's Episode Mode. Nolan North's casting as Deadpool is a natural fit given his long history with the character across animated series and games.
