Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 5 launches July 23 with new maps, Zombies content, and Verdansk POI

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 05 drops on Thursday, July 23, bringing a wave of new multiplayer maps, Zombies content, Warzone additions, and limited-time modes across both games.

On the multiplayer side, Season 05 launches with two new maps — Jubilee, set in a rural Japanese town mid-festival, and the remastered Frequency and Dig — plus two more arriving at mid-season: Turbo Tilt, a pinball machine-themed map inspired by Nuketown, and a new Freerun obstacle course called Freerun: Descent. New LTMs include Overdrive Domination and Gauntlet Rush at launch, with Cranked Moshpit returning mid-season. Ranked Play also comes back with fresh seasonal rewards. In Black Ops 7's Endgame mode, a new assignment called Burn Run tasks players with racing a bomb-rigged vehicle through checkpoints, while Ability Boosts let players upgrade Major and Minor Abilities with perks like reduced cooldowns and extra ammo.

Zombies gets a new Survival map — Eidskallen Lighthouse, set on Beacon Island — alongside Directed Mode coming to Kowakujō, three new Rogue Run playlists on Astra Malorum, and a mid-season Round-Based map that promises a showdown with the Warden. Mid-season also adds Widow's Wine, a new GobbleGum, and two Legacy Weapons. In Warzone, a new Verdansk POI called Drone Labs lands east of TV Station, complete with drones, loot buildings, and a rumored armed JLTV on site. The HKDs Killstreak — an aerial drone payload — arrives at launch, with the Quickdrop Kit following at mid-season.

Season 05 is one of the bigger content drops Black Ops 7 has seen, stacking launch-day additions with a mid-season wave that keeps the content pipeline running through the back half of the season. The Warden tease for the Round-Based Zombies finale in particular has the community watching closely, as it appears to be a major story beat for the mode's current arc.
