DayZ Is Coming to Nintendo Switch 2 Next Month

Bohemia Interactive's open-world zombie survival game DayZ is heading to Nintendo Switch 2, with a launch confirmed for next month.

DayZ drops players into a massive post-Soviet landscape where the threat isn't just the undead — other survivors are just as dangerous. The game is built around tense, permadeath-driven multiplayer where scavenging, hunger, and player encounters all feed into a brutal survival loop. No specific Switch 2 pricing or a precise release date beyond "next month" were confirmed in the announcement.

DayZ originally launched in Early Access on PC back in 2013 and hit full release in 2018, developed by Bohemia Interactive — the studio behind the Arma series. It came to PS4 and Xbox One in 2019. The Switch 2 port would mark the game's first appearance on a Nintendo platform, and given the hardware's hybrid nature, it's a natural fit for a game that rewards short, intense sessions as much as long ones.

With Switch 2 building out its library of third-party ports, DayZ adds a notably grittier edge to the platform's lineup. No word yet on whether the Switch 2 version will support cross-play with other platforms.
