Disney Lorcana: Attack of the Vine is out now — but scalpers are already killing the prices

Disney Lorcana's newest set, Attack of the Vine, launched today as the final chapter in the game's Vine Saga. The cards are great. The prices on the secondary market are not.

Booster packs normally retail at around $6 MSRP, but are currently going for roughly $12 on TCGplayer — double the intended price. Booster boxes should sit around $145 but are selling for $200. The Illumineer's Trove, a bundle with 8 booster packs plus extras like a storage box with dividers and dice, has an MSRP of $50 and is somehow clearing $100 right now. The Rapunzel Edition Starter Set — which includes four booster packs, a Rapunzel portfolio case, a special Rapunzel - Ethereal Protector promo card, and a collector's guide — should cost $30 but is listed at $80. Even the Illumineer's Quest: The Great Hunny Rescue, a solo or co-op card game with two player decks, scenario decks, Vine Tendril cards, and encounter cards, is hovering near $100 at launch.

Disney Lorcana has had a rocky history with supply at launch — earlier sets like The First Chapter and Rise of the Floodborn both saw similar scalper spikes before stock normalized. Attack of the Vine wraps up the Vine Saga story arc, which makes it a high-demand release for collectors and competitive players alike, and that demand is clearly being exploited right now.

The advice here is simple: wait. Retailers are expected to restock within days, and secondary market prices on Lorcana sets have historically dropped fast once supply catches up. Local game stores are your best bet right now for finding packs closer to MSRP. Don't hand scalpers a win on this one.
