Fear The Timeloop launches on Xbox with a 15-minute bleed-out survival loop

Fear The Timeloop is out now on Xbox Series X|S — complete with Xbox Play Anywhere support, achievements, and cloud saves. You play as Sheriff James Cooper, who wakes up in Saint Heritage Hospital with a gut wound and roughly 15 minutes before he bleeds out entirely.

The core mechanic fuses health and time into a single resource. Every minute that ticks down is a minute closer to death from blood loss, and medical supplies — blood bags, bandages, first aid kits — don't just patch wounds, they extend your remaining time. That turns every item into a genuine dilemma: burn it now to push through a dangerous corridor, hold it in case a fight breaks out, or gamble those minutes exploring a room that might open a new route. Death sends James back to the start of the current chapter, marked by a VHS tape, but it isn't a full reset. Notes, map data, and unlocked abilities carry over between loops — your inventory doesn't. Early runs are frantic and disorienting; later ones let you read the hospital differently, spot routes you missed, and reconsider decisions that cost you last time.

Saint Heritage Hospital was built as one interconnected space rather than a string of discrete levels, designed specifically to reward returning. Locked routes open, previously meaningless notes gain context, and new abilities create reasons to revisit familiar corridors. Deputy Sheriff Rose Watters is James' only ally inside the building, and conversations with her gradually surface the hospital's backstory and how Cooper ended up there in the first place. The developer says balancing enemies and bosses around a loop structure — keeping tension high without making a failed run feel like wasted time — was one of the hardest problems to solve during development.

Fear The Timeloop is available now on Xbox Series X|S. No PC or other platform release has been announced.
