Full Stride brings a real-horse jockey simulator to Steam in July

Blue Bullet is releasing Full Stride on Steam on July 16, 2026 — a jockey racing simulator that swaps out anime horse girls for actual horses. Think less Umamusume, more muddy hooves and existential stares from the paddock.

The game puts players in the saddle for the full race experience: gates opening, fighting for position in the pack, timing your move, and grinding out a head-to-head finish on the final stretch. It's not just a matter of going fast, either — Blue Bullet says you'll need to account for each horse's racing style, stamina, sprint aptitude, pace, and preferred distance. A photo mode is also confirmed, letting you pause and appreciate the deeply strange spectacle of a crowd gathered to watch a horse run.

Full Stride arrives about a year after Cygames launched Umamusume: Pretty Derby on Steam on June 24, 2025 — the anime management sim where players scout, train, and guide horse girls through racing careers. Blue Bullet's game occupies a similar conceptual space but strips away the fantasy framing entirely, leaning into the sport itself. Horse racing sims are a niche but persistent genre on PC, and a jockey-perspective take with meaningful race tactics could carve out its own audience.
