Injustice 3 leak names Supergirl and Batwoman as first confirmed characters

A stunt performer's resume has surfaced with a direct reference to motion capture work on a game called Injustice 3, and it lists two character names — Supergirl and Batwoman. Neither NetherRealm Studios nor WB has officially confirmed the game exists, but the evidence keeps stacking up.

MP1st, which broke the story on September 21, says the stuntworker has a documented history of collaborating with NetherRealm on past projects, lending the resume real credibility. Supergirl is an easy call — she was a central character in Injustice 2 and a fan favourite. Batwoman is the more surprising name, because she died in the Injustice comics, which are treated as canon to the games. NetherRealm could explain that away through a new character taking up the mantle, or some kind of timeline reset — not a wild idea given that Mortal Kombat 1, the studio's last release, was a full soft reboot of the MK universe.

This resume isn't the first breadcrumb. Earlier this year MP1st spotted Injustice 3 on an artist's resume, and just last week a video game playtest in California was linked to the project. NetherRealm has been away from the DC universe since Injustice 2 launched in 2017 — nearly a decade — while the studio shipped Mortal Kombat 11 and then Mortal Kombat 1 in the years between. A separate mobile DC fighter, DCKO, is also in the works, but that's a free-to-play project and a different beast entirely.

With motion capture apparently already underway and multiple resume leaks now in the wild, a formal announcement feels closer than ever. Fans are watching NetherRealm's next move carefully — an official reveal would end years of speculation about when the studio would return to its DC fighting game series.
