LEGO One Piece Special Gets Character Posters Ahead of September Netflix Debut

Netflix drops the LEGO One Piece two-part animated special on September 29, and IGN has exclusively revealed six new character posters ahead of the premiere.

The special follows the Straw Hat Pirates — Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Usopp, Sanji, and Chopper — as they sail through the East Blue and into the Grand Line. The framing device puts Usopp front and center as the narrator, spinning tall tales for Chopper with his trademark "dramatic license." According to the official synopsis, the crew will face a crazed pirate clown, marines, fishmen, and a criminal syndicate across islands packed with danger. The voice cast carries over from the live-action series: Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Mikaela Hoover as Chopper.

The LEGO special slots into a busy stretch for One Piece on Netflix. The live-action adaptation has already run two seasons, and Season 3 — subtitled The Battle of Alabasta — is expected in 2027. Using Usopp as an unreliable narrator is a smart fit for the LEGO format, which has a long history of leaning into comedy and self-aware humor across its animated specials and films.

With the September 29 date locked in and the full voice cast confirmed, the main thing left to see is how faithfully — or loosely — Usopp's version of events plays out across both parts.
