Valve dropped a Counter-Strike 2 update that touches RUSH mode, crosshairs, and a handful of animation bugs. No version number was given in the patch notes.
In RUSH mode, the post-elimination countdown on end rooms and Convoy doubles from 7 seconds to 14 seconds, giving surviving players more time to regroup. That timer now also stays silent when an entire team wipes itself out through suicides, team kills, or disconnects — so the clock only ticks when it actually matters. Warmup time after all players connect, freeze time, and technical timeout time are all trimmed down.
The bigger change is the crosshair overhaul. The new system ditches the old arbitrary scale and works in straight pixels — set thickness to 1, length to 8, gap to 4, and that's exactly what you get on screen. It also auto-rescales when you change resolution, so a 2-pixel-thick crosshair at 1280x720 becomes 4 pixels at 2560x1440 to stay proportionally identical. New additions include a half-outline option that draws only the top-left portions of the outline, a static square crosshair style, and a fix for the bug that ignored a 0 gap setting. The minimum dynamic spread distance is now capped at 64 pixels, which Valve says covers the widest-spreading weapons so players get a clearer read on their actual accuracy.
On the bug fix side, left-handed viewmodels no longer animate incorrectly during silent reloads, third-person player models no longer speed through their silent reload animations, and Dual Berettas first-person animations are fixed during standard reloads. Clan tags now show up in death notices as well.
