This 1,376-piece set is rated for ages 10 and up and recreates the Straw Hats' iconic first ship in solid detail. The build includes interior spaces like the crew's cabin, a kitchen, storage areas, and Usopp's workshop, plus a ram figurehead. All five original crew members come as minifigures: Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji. IGN's Kevin Wong reviewed it at launch and described it as "a simple, straightforward build, with a cartoonish look that makes it appear more plucky than imposing; it's befitting of the ragtag misfits that sail under its banner." Wong also noted it makes a strong first impression if more LEGO One Piece sets follow.

The Going Merry set launched alongside the LEGO One Piece line tied to the Netflix live-action adaptation and the long-running anime, now in its 21st season. It was one of the first major LEGO sets to bring the One Piece license to life in brick form, making it a notable pick for fans of the series.
