Logitech Mobi Fold review: a genuinely tiny travel mouse that folds in half

The Logitech Mobi Fold is a compact travel mouse that folds in half when not in use, shrinking to just 21 x 57 x 66 mm — small enough to slip into a jacket pocket without a second thought. It costs £69.99 / $79.99 and comes in graphite, lilac, and off-white.

Unfolded, the Mobi Fold measures 33 x 57 x 122 mm and weighs 79 g. It runs a PAW3222 optical sensor at up to 4,000 DPI, connects via Bluetooth LE or a Logi Bolt receiver (sold separately unless you buy the business bundle), and pairs with up to three devices. There are two standard mouse buttons, two additional programmable buttons tucked under a touch-sensitive scroll panel, and a USB-C charging port on a 100mAh Li-Po battery. The side buttons click noticeably louder than the well-damped main buttons, and Logi Options+ software lets you remap them — including a handy double-tap auto-zoom function.

The folding design solves a problem most compact mice ignore: a shrunken full-size mouse still feels awkward in the hand, but the Mobi Fold's 120-degree central hump actually gives your thumb and fingers somewhere to sit. It's a similar concept to Microsoft's Surface Arc Mouse from 2017, though the Mobi Fold goes convex rather than flat when open, and comes in at a lower price point. The travel mouse category is crowded, but most options either sacrifice comfort for size or size for comfort — the fold mechanism is a genuine differentiator here.

The main caveats are real, though. The body can be tricky to grip firmly, and the touch panel scroll is described as jerky — a meaningful flaw for anyone doing serious work on the road. If your bag has room for a standard compact mouse, there are smoother options available. But for the laptop user who genuinely needs something pocketable, the Mobi Fold makes a strong case for itself.
