Magic: The Gathering's Reality Fracture Play Boosters stuck in Panama Canal traffic jam

Wizards of the Coast has confirmed that some Reality Fracture Play Boosters heading to North America are caught in a shipping delay caused by a traffic jam at the Panama Canal. The set releases October 2, 2026, but supply of Play Boosters may run thin quickly after release weekend.

A drought has lowered water levels in the freshwater lake that feeds the canal, creating what Wizards called a "naval snarl." One of the ships carrying Reality Fracture Play Boosters is stuck in that logjam. Wizards says replenishments should arrive within a few weeks of release once the delayed shipment clears the canal. Importantly, the delay only affects Play Boosters — Collector Boosters, Commander decks, Bundles, and all other Reality Fracture products are still on schedule. Wizards has said it will update its official blog post if anything changes.

The delay is part of a broader pattern that has hit every Magic set in 2026 to some degree.
