Just days later, on the Fourth of July, players started claiming NetEase had quietly nerfed the asset. Reddit user L9-45 actually extracted and examined the model directly, reporting no visible changes to the mesh or rigging — their theory is that the studio simply re-parented the geometry to Cap's pelvis bone, which would fix the stretching without altering the model itself. The thread's top reply noted this was "incredibly unemployed behavior," which is fair. Meanwhile, comic legend Rob Liefeld publicly declared his love for the skin, which feels like the only critical endorsement that actually matters here.

NetEase has previously stated that Marvel Rivals is not intended to be overtly sexual, though the swimwear season rollout is doing some heavy lifting against that position. The Captain America situation also echoes a 2018 DC Comics moment when Batman's anatomy made headlines — apparently superhero package discourse is a recurring genre now.
