MAVRIX 1.0 launches today on Xbox with head-to-head multiplayer and Rob Warner commentary

Cascade Interactive's mountain biking game MAVRIX hits version 1.0 today on Xbox Series X|S, and it's available day one on Xbox Game Pass. The headline addition is a proper head-to-head multiplayer mode — something the game lacked during its year-long early access period.

Up to five riders can matchmake onto any trail and race or compete in slopestyle simultaneously. In racing, it's first to the bottom wins, with crashes sending you back to the last checkpoint rather than ending your run — so clean lines matter more than raw aggression. Bike choice factors in too: downhill bikes soak up big impacts and stay stable at speed, while enduro bikes accelerate faster and clear obstacles more easily. Slopestyle head-to-head works differently, splitting trails into sectors and crowning whoever wins the most of them. Both modes get live commentary from Red Bull commentator Rob Warner, who calls overtakes, crashes, and big trick combos as they happen. Alongside multiplayer, MAVRIX Cups launch as weekly standalone events every weekend, running separate leaderboards for racing and slopestyle with exclusive cosmetic rewards you can only earn through Cup results.

MAVRIX is designed by pro Red Bull athlete Matt Jones and built around a 100 square kilometre open world with over 30 trails split between racetracks and slopestyle runs. The game entered early access in July 2025, giving Cascade Interactive a full year of community feedback before today's 1.0 release. During that period players competed solo against global leaderboards — the studio says watching the community chase trick combos together made head-to-head slopestyle an obvious priority for the full launch.

With Game Pass day-one availability, MAVRIX 1.0 has a low barrier to entry for the Xbox audience. The weekly Cup structure gives competitive players a reason to keep coming back, and the Rob Warner commentary is a genuine draw for anyone who follows the real-world mountain biking scene.
