Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 adds the Airbus A380 for $74.49

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is getting the Airbus A380 — but the superjumbo comes with a superjumbo price tag. The aircraft is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 through the Flight Simulator Marketplace as part of an Exclusive Series, and it'll only be on sale for the next three months. The asking price is $74.49.

For that money, you get a seriously deep simulation. The A380 launches with two liveries, with more planned later, and features highly detailed exterior and interior modeling, a fully interactive flight deck with extensive controls, displays, and aircraft systems, and a layered avionics suite covering navigation, autopilot, flight management, and aircraft monitoring. There are two engine variants with distinct performance differences, a bespoke flight model built around the A380's enormous mass and unique handling characteristics, and even a functional cockpit printer. The feature list goes on from there.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has been a strong performer since launch — IGN gave it a 9/10, with reviewer Seth Macy, a former Air Force veteran, praising its hyper-realistic approach to aviation. The sim has received over a dozen content updates since release and expanded to VR platforms as well. Its predecessor, the 2020 original, earned a perfect 10/10 from the same reviewer.

The three-month exclusivity window on the A380 means anyone interested shouldn't sit on it too long. Whether the $74.49 price is justified will depend entirely on how deep into study-level simulation you want to go — but for serious flight sim enthusiasts, the attention to detail here looks hard to argue with.
