Mistborn Expansion for the Cosmere RPG Is Now Up for Preorder

Brotherwise Games has opened preorders for three new Mistborn books expanding the Cosmere RPG, with a November 4 release date listed on Amazon. The lineup covers everything from character building to full campaign play in the world of Scadriel.

The centerpiece is the Mistborn Handbook, which lets players build characters from either era of the Mistborn series and digs into the metallic arts — allomancy and feruchemy — that set Scadriel apart from the Stormlight side of the Cosmere. Alongside it, the Campaign Guide drops players into two distinct Eras: Era 1 is tuned for levels 3–6, Era 2 for levels 3–9, with choices that "echo across the centuries." Rounding out the trio is a slim 24-page Welcome to Scadriel guide aimed at newcomers who haven't read any of Sanderson's books yet — a visual primer to get a table up to speed before the first session.

The Cosmere RPG launched its core Stormlight Archive rulebooks last year off the back of a successful crowdfunding campaign, and IGN scored them an 8/10, praising flexible character development and strong narrative mechanics. Brotherwise has been building out the Cosmere tabletop line since 2020, and this Mistborn expansion is the next major piece. It's worth noting this isn't the first Mistborn TTRPG — Crafty Games put out the Mistborn Adventure Game back in 2012, covering Era 1, though that line has largely faded from view. Brotherwise also released a Mistborn Deckbuilding Game that earned an 8/10 from IGN.
