Ion Lands, the studio behind Cloudpunk, has revealed a release date for its cyberpunk life sim and quietly rebranded it in the process. The game is now called Nivalis Nights and launches on September 29.

The name change is minor — one extra word — but Rock Paper Shotgun notes it carries a noir quality that suits the game's atmosphere. September 29 lands in a brutally crowded release window: Control: Resonant, Silent Hill Townfall, and Garfield - Escape from Monday all drop on September 24, just five days earlier.

Nivalis Nights is a futuristic restaurant management life sim set in a cyberpunk city, developed by Ion Lands — the team that made Cloudpunk, a narrative delivery-driver game set in a rain-soaked neon metropolis. The life sim angle puts it in a different lane from most cyberpunk action games, leaning into atmosphere and day-to-day urban living rather than combat. It's shaping up to be part of a broader cyberpunk autumn, with the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 anime also arriving in the same season.

September 29 gives it a slight buffer from the September 24 cluster, but autumn 2026 is shaping up as one of the most congested release periods in recent memory. Players with already-strained backlogs have been warned.
