Roblox Studio has unveiled six new 18+ games coming out of its Roblox Incubator program — a six-month initiative pairing experienced developers with resources and support to take game concepts from prototype to polished release. The 2026 cohort spans 26 teams total, but six of those projects are targeting adult players in the U.S. with a notably diverse lineup.
The headline project is Drifters, an extraction shooter from Look North World — a studio founded and led by Alexander Seropian, the co-founder of Bungie. Look North World draws talent from Bungie, Disney Interactive, EA, Epic Games, and others, and Drifters is described as set in a "dangerous world full of hostile enemies and even-more-hostile players." Seropian called his time on Roblox "the most exciting and personally rewarding since my early days making games on the PC," citing the platform's audience growth and toolset as reasons the studio chose to build there. The other five games cover a wide spread of genres: Cosmic Carnage from Ghost Fox Games is a Twisted Metal-style car combat game with full destruction derby mechanics; Fossil Force from Nibblebyte is a second extraction shooter, this one set in the Mesozoic Era with dinosaurs as the enemy; Aetherfall from Pixel Blaze Studio is an open-world progression RPG built around elemental powers; Sky Pixel from Pixel Count is a 2D action-adventure RPG centered on building and automating floating islands; and Octane from Ignition Switch is an open-world driving game set in a city called La Vista, with track design and car customization.
Roblox has been pushing hard to expand its audience beyond its core younger demographic. The Incubator program is part of that effort — giving credentialed developers from traditional AAA studios a structured path onto the platform. Seropian's involvement is a notable signal: Bungie itself is currently developing Marathon, its own extraction shooter, which means two projects with direct Bungie DNA are now chasing the same genre simultaneously on very different platforms.
Roblox Studio noted that "some teams are already" showing strong progress, though all six games are still early in development. No release windows have been announced yet for any of the titles, and the Incubator program itself runs through the rest of 2025 before concluding.
