Rogue Carrier puts you in command of a mega research ship on a boiling alien ocean

Hooded Horse has announced Rogue Carrier, a roguelite colony builder where you captain a massive science vessel stranded on an alien world covered in a dangerous, creature-filled sea.

The ship is called the Bohemoth — described as the largest vessel humanity has ever built — and it doubles as a mobile base. You build structures and run production lines directly on its deck while navigating an ocean teeming with alien sea life, some passive, much of it hostile. The core loop blends ship piloting, base building, and survival against the planet's aggressive wildlife as you work toward escaping the world entirely.

Hooded Horse has built a reputation publishing ambitious, niche strategy games — Manor Lords, Menace, and Terra Nil all sit under their label — so a roguelite that mashes colony management onto a moving ship fits squarely in their wheelhouse. The alien ocean setting gives the game an immediately distinct visual identity, somewhere between a seafaring survival sim and a classic RTS.

No release date or platform details have been announced yet, but the concept alone is striking enough to put this one on the radar early.
