The Blood of Dawnwalker dev is already hiring for a sequel less than a week after launch

The Blood of Dawnwalker just launched and Rebel Wolves is already building toward a sequel. The vampiric horror RPG crossed one million copies sold within days of release, landed an 83% review score from PC Gamer, and holds a "very positive" rating on Steam — so the studio isn't wasting any time.

Narrative director Jakub Szamałek posted on LinkedIn that the team is "not resting on our laurels" and is actively hiring a lead writer to help craft the next chapter in the Dawnwalker saga. The role is demanding: responsibilities include writing in-game documents and dialogue, collaborating with Szamałek and other team leads, and managing the entire writers team. Applicants need a minimum of six years of experience as a writer or narrative designer in games, with a track record of outstanding achievement.

Rebel Wolves is a young studio with only one game out, but its pedigree runs deep. Szamałek himself was principal writer on Cyberpunk 2077, Thronebreaker, and the standalone Gwent release, and earned credits on The Witcher 3 and its expansions before that. The studio was founded by CD Projekt veterans, and several former colleagues publicly congratulated the team on launch week — a sign of just how closely the industry is watching this one.

With a strong debut behind them and a sequel already in early motion, Rebel Wolves is moving fast. Whether the next Dawnwalker chapter is a full sequel, an expansion, or something else entirely isn't clear yet — but the hiring push suggests the narrative groundwork starts now.
