The Legend of Zelda: The Complete Series DVD drops under $10 for Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day is winding down, but The Legend of Zelda: The Complete Series animated DVD is sitting at $8.99 — 55% off its regular $19.98 price — until tomorrow.

The single-disc set collects all 13 episodes of the 1989 cartoon, which ran for just one season. It follows the story of the original NES game, with Link and Zelda teaming up to defend Hyrule from the evil wizard Ganon. The case is colorful, but there are no bonus features — no making-of featurettes, no commentaries. IGN reviewed this same collection back in 2005 and called it a cheesy but nostalgic slice of '80s Zelda history, recommending it only for fans who grew up with the show. If you've never seen it, it's currently streaming free on Tubi or with a Prime Video subscription — worth sampling before buying.

Elsewhere in Zelda news, Sony's live-action film wrapped filming in April. Details are still scarce, but production stills have shown Link and Zelda in Breath of the Wild-style outfits in a grassy field setting.
