We Were Here Tomorrow reveals Norček Industries in new co-op puzzle trailer

Total Mayhem Games has dropped a new trailer for We Were Here Tomorrow, the next entry in the We Were Here co-op puzzle series, confirming an October launch on Xbox Series X|S. Creative Director Martín Mittner says the game takes the series into unfamiliar territory while keeping cooperative play at its core.

The story kicks off in Antarctica, where two players are searching for missing expedition members. Things go sideways fast, and the pair wake up inside a retro-futuristic research facility run by Norček Industries. They're met by Director Kathleen Bowe — a scientist-turned-manager who comes across as helpful and charismatic, but whose motives grow murkier the deeper you go. At the center of Norček's research is a mysterious interdimensional rift, and the two players gradually find themselves tangled up in whatever the facility is trying to do with it.

The trailer highlights two distinct areas. The Greenhouse splits the co-op partners across different points in time — one player acts in the past, the other deals with the consequences in the future. A time-swap mechanic adds another layer, forcing players to describe their surroundings over walkie-talkie and think carefully about cause and effect beyond what they can directly see. Longtime fans will spot references to locations and objects from earlier games scattered throughout the space. The second area, the Office of Tomorrow, throws out conventional rules of gravity and architecture, turning navigation itself into a puzzle. Both areas are designed to push the series' asymmetric puzzle formula while keeping the cooperative communication loop that defines We Were Here.

We Were Here Tomorrow is the latest in a series that Total Mayhem Games has been building since 2017, with each entry pairing two players in separate but connected environments and making a walkie-talkie the primary tool for solving puzzles. No exact October release date has been announced yet beyond the month window, and no word on other platforms beyond Xbox Series X|S at launch.
