Wreck Runners Xbox Insider playtest runs July 9–13 ahead of July 16 launch

Disruptive Games and Xbox have opened an Xbox Insider playtest for Wreck Runners, the four-player co-op extraction game, running from July 9 at 10 AM PT through July 13 at 10 AM PT. The full game hits Xbox on July 16, so this is a short early window to get in before launch.

Wreck Runners drops crews of up to four players into the Bermuda Triangle to scavenge abandoned islands, underwater wrecks, and mysterious facilities for salvage, then haul it back to the Barge before the Triangle swallows them whole. The deeper you push, the better the loot — and the worse the creatures. To join the playtest, Xbox Series X|S owners need to open the Xbox Insider Hub, navigate to Previews, find Wreck Runners, and hit Join. The playtest is Xbox Series X|S only — no PC, no Xbox One. Feedback goes through the standard Report a Problem flow on the Xbox controller's home button.

Wreck Runners is developed by Disruptive Games, and the extraction co-op genre has been one of the busiest spaces in gaming since Lethal Company blew up in late 2023. The Bermuda Triangle setting gives the game a distinct hook compared to the industrial horror aesthetic most competitors lean on — nautical anomalies, underwater ruins, and open-water dread instead of abandoned factories.
