A Duck Nested at CD Projekt Red's Warsaw Office and Hatched Eight Ducklings

A mallard chose CD Projekt Red's Warsaw headquarters as her nesting spot this spring, laying eight eggs at an open-air section of the studio's modern office campus. The ducklings hatched in June, and the whole family has since been safely relocated.

CD Projekt Red staff gave the mother duck space to nest undisturbed throughout the entire incubation period. Once the eggs hatched, the studio worked with Warsaw's Municipal Guard Eco Patrol to move the family to one of the city's parks, where they can live in a more natural setting. The studio shared photos of the ducklings on social media, and yes, they are extremely cute.

The choice of nesting spot isn't entirely surprising once you see the office. CD Projekt Red's Warsaw headquarters — nominated for an architecture award this year and winner of the residents' prize — features what the studio describes as the largest green wall in Poland, packed with 40,000 plants. A rooftop garden and plenty of greenery make it a genuinely appealing spot if you happen to be a duck looking for real estate. CD Projekt also operates offices in Kraków, Wrocław, Vancouver, and Boston.

The studio currently has several projects in development: The Witcher 4, a Witcher 1 remake, a multiplayer Witcher game, Cyberpunk 2, and a game made in partnership with Saudi Arabia. None of those projects involve ducks, as far as anyone knows.
