Apex Legends Diamond+ Solo-Queue Test Kicks Off June 30

Apex Legends is running a solo-queue-only test for Diamond and above starting June 30 at 10am PT, with the window running through July 13 — or earlier if the team collects enough data. During that period, Diamond+ players won't be able to queue into Ranked as a premade squad.

The test was delayed from its original window, and the developers used this announcement to explain why. Respawn's live comms team pointed to matchmaking instability caused by the pace of recent testing — the same complications that triggered outages during the last split. The team held off until they were confident the underlying systems were stable enough to run the test without risking another disruption. After monitoring matchmaking health over the past few weeks, they say the risk is now low enough to proceed on June 30.
