Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced players are uploading feet pics to the official photo mode gallery

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced launched with a photo mode that automatically uploads screenshots to an official gallery site — and predictably, the internet found a way to make it weird. A photo of a female NPC's feet is now the second most-liked image on the entire Black Flag Resynced Photo Mode website.

The foot-focused shot was taken in Dry Tortuga, a small in-game naval fort, and uploaded by user xR0ckettManx on July 9. It has racked up over 57,000 likes. The only image beating it is a scenic seascape of a burning ship with over 80,000 likes — and, for the record, zero feet. The photo mode site lets players browse community screenshots alongside metadata showing when and where each shot was taken.

Black Flag Resynced is a remaster of the beloved 2013 pirate-era Assassin's Creed entry following Edward Kenway. The game has been one of the stronger Assassin's Creed launches in recent memory, suggesting there's still plenty of appetite for the classic formula — swashbuckling, naval combat, and apparently feet.

Player reception has been broadly positive — Edward Kenway's story holds up — though some criticism has landed on the game's microtransactions. Whether the viral feet pic contributed to the strong launch numbers remains, thankfully, unconfirmed.
